psdtuts.com — As important as information and interface design are, it's the satisfied feeling of designing something that just plain looks awesome that keeps us going during those times when the creative well is dry, when you've stared at a blank canvas for hours, when you've saved a hundred attempt.psd's, and when you're fed up of design.

Or you could actually approach design as a problem-solving exercise, think about what you're actually trying to achieve, and take the right steps to get to something awesome without the guesswork.I've been a designer for fourteen years. If I had to stare at a blank canvas for hours and throw around hundreds of random PSDs to get the answer, I would have lost my mind years ago.Design is a process, learn it.

Scientists don't sit in their labs randomly pouring one chemical into another to "see what happens."For every accident that leads to a discovery, there are thousands of discoveries that were reached methodically, and thousands of accidents that were thrown out.For that matter, design and science are two different things. I would assume from your comment that you do not have a career in either field.
