cracked.com— If a movie is awesome enough, people will overlook even the most retarded gaps in reason and logic. At least, until some assh**e on the Internet makes a big list of them. Enjoy!

Middle Earth's political and social environment is not very conducive to technological advancements. There are many factions and races, each of which is extremely independent, meaning they are not likely to share information. Bigotry is almost certainly found everywhere. The elves live forever, so they would more or less stick to the old ways and are less likely to adopt new technologies. Dwarfs just do there own thing underground. Seeing as they mine so much, they should have been the first to develop gun powder. I guess they are as stupid as they are short. Wizards don't need technology; they have magic.Humans would advance the quickest. They have short lives, they are not magically inclined, they are not dumb dwarfs. But the age of man only begins in the third book, so I expect technology really took off and grew exponentially after that point.
Oh, I love Star Wars and I know everything they're talking about. I'm a total nerd, I play WoW, LoTR is my favorite book series ever, etc etc, but I try not to let it run my life.
I always thought Terminator was a good example of this. A) John Conner sends Kyle Reese back in timeB) Kyle and Sarah get it onC) John is born--->AJohn Conner is directly responsible for his own birth....

Yes, I thought so too. I haven't seen the movie in a while, but I knew Cracked was wrong about that one.

Not a problem to lions. Hell, brother/sister is not a problem to a lot of animals (and certain humans)
