lyved.com — Temperatures are starting to rise, and energy prices show no sign of cooling off. Air conditioning is usually the first thing most people turn to for relief, but the high bills for that usage often have the opposite effect. As summers are getting warmer, we are in need of better, cheaper ways to keep the heat at bay.

Closing some vents (like the ones in my house) does not seal them all the way. Duct tape them shut to not let any air through.

Ah, summer seems like such a long time ago now. More interested in saving money keeping warm now that winter is just about upon us. Oddly enough, many of the things that you need to keep cool in summer are exactly those you need in winter (insulation and curtains for instance). The best thing I did in the summer was getting our deck sorted and setting up the spa pool. Oh, and escaping the house was also a good idea since our car and lots of shops have AC.
