Calling the budget the "greatest economic and fiscal challenge of our lifetimes," Paterson acknowledged his spending plan cuts deep. But he said the pain must be shared to deal with the fallout from..

Way to go! You just insulted 19 million people that are just trying to make it day to day in a state that constantly makes it more difficult for them to do so as idiots. Great way to get yourself buried and show thousands of digg users what a bigoted piece of crap you really are.

@gemlarinYou live in a republic, you have the right to vote. For some reason, your fellow New Yorkers keep voting in the same morons over and over and over again. The names may change, but the polices don't. Hence my original point stands...you get what you vote for. Congratulations! Oh, and Patterson really is an idiot.

New York has 11 million people living outside of NYC, you know. We've got a whole other part of the state to the north and northwest.

How about a really novel idea Gov, cut out the fat & quit spending more than you take in. I am sure I could slash that 15 billion in a couple strokes of the pen. This clown just does not get it; like very single level of government from the littlest town in Kansas, to the Federal Govt, they spend like there is no tomorrow and lavish their employees with huge retirement programs that put them in debt them forever. Unions use to be good for something, now they are destroying our nation...

This is where the lefts agenda leads, excessive taxes due to gross incompetency. This tax will probably drive more business and people out of NY. Way to go NY increase taxes in a recession, instead of reducing expenditures. One major expenditure that you cold do is stop all funding to illegal aliens. No welfare, no hospital visit, no education etc. That alone would probably take care of the shortfall. How do you spell S T U P I D? You have just guaranteed a reduction in revenue because people will buy less. This kind of incompetency should start a move to impeach this incompetent governor. Until the people stand up and take the government back it will continue to degrade. ALL politicians work for us and if they don't do what we want them to do we MUST vote them out. Until government gets the message they will continue to think we are here for them instead of the other way around. Get rid of the arrogant ones and get rid of those who defy the will of the people. It should start with the bail outs. All, democrat and republican, should be replaced in the next election who voted for the bail outs because the majority of America were adamantly against them but those arrogant politicians did what they wanted to do and not what the will of the people wanted.
