I love my dog but she loves to be in the Kitchen when I cook, and I have almost tripped with hot things in my hands more times than I can count. She is a great tripping height too, between the ankle and knee.
I have two kittens, and one of them loves rubbing against my legs. In fact, he loves it so much that if I started walking or running away before he could reach me, he'd run faster and walk/run along with me while rubbing against me. I've tripped alright....though I haven't actually fell yet. haha.
