Ghandi was also a racist, but you don't hear a lot about that.

who cares about the conversation between the guy and his wife, it's a humor magazine. the guy shackled his wife in the basement. jesus, let's look past that because there was a made up, humorous dialog between the two.

It's a good thing the American people have wised up since then."He was making a JOKE!for future refrence: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humor

Even then they downplayed it. During speeches before the election he'd be helped into a standing position with the same treatment for photos as well. It was a lot easier to be seen as you would like to be seen back then.

Some of it was terrorism, unless you consider sabotage of dangerous and highly electric devices to be a silly gesture of foolhardy pranksterism. I think if I turned on a device and it blew up or something it could leave me quite terrified.

The sad thing is you're serious. Hitler started off his career as a violent git. He got in to power by having his SA beat the living crap out of people who wouldn't vote for him to be chancellor. What about the Night of the Broken Glass where Jews were murdered and their houses ransacked (before the extermination really began). The thousands of Poles massacred? The Russian's? Hitler didn't just have one violent act to his name. At the end of the war people just didn't find the camps and go "Oh my god! Hitler wasn't a nice man!". Whenever Gandhi said it, Hitler will have still have been enforcing violent policies.
