Sorry in a perfect world I gladly contribute to universal health care plan but I'm dead set against it because of this article. No way should responsible people be burdened by the irresponsibilities of others.
I need some help. Yes, I am an overweight American. I have replaced all my soda with splenda based sodas, I also have replaced anything with sugar in it with Splenda. I have also switched to Olestra based oils. I eat around 4 large bags of Olestra potato chips a day and at first was worried about anal leakage associated with too much Olestra but so far so good. I also am now deep frying my food in Olestra. I eat all low fat sandwich meats as well and weight watchers foods and deserts. Yet I am still expanding. I drink about a gallon of soda a day but it's no calories. I deep fry in no calorie oil and all my sugar is no calorie. YET I AM GETTING HUGE! I do not know what to do anymore! I am now on meds to get my weight down but with side effects I am now taking more meds to combat these weird side effects. Obesity is obviously a disease, perhaps an unknown virus??? there is no reason I should be gaining weight, what can I do???
Wow, I am not sure where to start. Your note has touched a deep passion in me, and that is helping people get healthy. I have fought the battle and won, losing over 70lbs and keeping it off. You can do it, but you must be willing to change what you are doing now to make it happen. Let's see what we can do together to help you out.First of all understand that eating things like chips, even the "healthy" ones, and drinking soda, even the sugar free ones is not healthy. Four bags a day? If you are serious, you must understand that you are filling up on food that has nearly no nutritive value whatsoever. Deep frying food is also not a healthy choice, regardless of what we fry it in. If you came into my office and wanted to lose bodyfat, some of the things we would try to discover are covered in the following questions:How many times a day do you eat? Of those meals, at how many do you eat fruit and/or vegetables? Do you know the difference between protein, carbohydrates and fats, and the benefits/limitations of each? Have you ever kept track of how much food you are eating on a daily basis? Do you get regular physical activity? Answering these questions is a start. Will you take action?
