The HD-DVD commercials I saw didn't really show off the fact that they were HD. There should have been explosions and loud sounds. Not some cracker talking in a dark studio.
You shouldn't be calling someone else a dumb f**k when you're completely wrong. TV is going digital no HD. You just need to get a converter box if you have an old TV. And the government is handing out vouchers for these boxes so you have plenty of choices.
I dont see what the big deal is, before you know it, discs of all sorts will be made obsolete by direct downloads, or some 3 Dimensional storage media.
I'm not wrong. First, It's OK to call someone dumb f**k if your not completely wrong? mywhitenoise response consisted of randomly picking out someone to call a dumb f**k and then giving a completely unrelated argument to justify it. A form of trolling I associate with dumb f**ks. It is not usually my nature to name call, but that comment just got my goat.Second, I never said all TV will be broadcast in hd or that the only way to receive TV will be with an hd TV. What I did say is that for hd programming blu-ray is now the only prerecorded physical delivery option.

How about you write or submit an artical to Digg about it then and explain the economics?

First Generation dvd players weren't $600 at release, more like $400. Even then, they dropped to $100 in the next two years
