That is so f-ing dumb. These apps just SEND AUTOMATIC EMAILS TO THEIR OWNER!!!!!!!! There's absolutely no reason to do it thru twitter... other than but be noticed by dumb bloggers and make the front page of digg.Coming soon "TWEMAIL: an application to write unlimited text, attach pictures and documents, and send the whole package to selected friends ON TWITTER!"

The Tweet-a-watt is an incredible idea. If it could measure your whole-house usage, people would be instantly aware of how much energy they are using, what is the biggest user, and how much phantom use there was when devices are in stand-by or appear off. Too bad it just does one plug.I have a kill-a-watt, I might have to do that mod.

Phocion55's point is that digg isn't necessary to discover news, but it's a nice way of doing so. The same is true with twitter. Twitter isn't a must have service to share information, but it's a nice thing to have.
