This is truly pathetic. Six ways to get out of a cell phone contract so you can pay $2500 over two years to have a god damn cell phone that just happens to also have limited mp3 player functionality and a few other doo dads. This idiocy is why the average US resident is up to their ass in debt. It's a damn phone. Find something better to do with your money.
get out of a verizon contract the same way they try to keep you:LIEremember: its ok to lie to verizon. what's more its ok to CHANGE your story EVERYTIME you talk to someone different. Keep changing your story until you get what you want! (deny that you're changing your story.. just like verizon)the article already mentions this effective strategy: "moving" to an area outside a service area.
no. its the same as with home entertainment components. I want each device to perform its function WELL. I don't one one device that performs multiple functions not so well.If you have time to burn and have no serious internet use then great have at through your phone interface... more useful is to use the phone as a gateway for your laptop, but better yet a PCMCIA card.

the early termination fee is usually to cover the cost of subsidizing a phone. Buy your phone and you have more power
