Think Ace Hardware but with a heavier focus on automotive supplies. And with sports/rec stuff. Seriously, they sell all kinds of respectable-quality crap there. And they have a store brand (Mastercraft) that actually doesn't suck.
Wrong. NiMH batteries are 1.2 volts. Look on the side of one for proof. They start fully charged at about 1.4 volts. After 20% of the charge is gone, they are at about 1.2-1.25 volts, and stay there for about 60% of their lifespan, after which they rapidly drop to about 0.9 volts at 0 capacity.<a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nickel-metal_hydride_battery">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nickel-metal_hydride_ ...</a>"Nominal Cell Voltage 1.2 V"
I bought one of there lantern battery's the other day and cracked it opened and it had 4 "D" sized battery's and they were all soldered together and unusable.
He ran a couple leads from the battery to the gameboy, that was it! He worked on office machines in the 80's I believe the batteries were from some sort of UPS system.
.eh? cant believe ppl really think this will actually work, how the hell would 32 AA batteries fit in one 6 Volt Battery, its meant to be a joke dont take it seriously lol
My advice is to go buy yourself some Energizer stock , because there is going to be tons of idiots out there buying up some 6 volt batteries , but watch this like a hawk. When the word gets out it will drop like a rock.Jesus
This is false & I don't recommend doing it as the chemicals in batteries can be very harmful; ever had a battery get the white "acid" stuff on it & eat the contacts of your game pad or remote control? I have. I believe it's more of a base then acid & most of you will know that bases are used in Easy Off to clean ovens.Fail & Bury.
yes, each row of batteries is connected parallel, and the 4 rows are connected + to - for a total of 6 volts. the more parallel batteries per row, the longer the life.
