None of these things are strange - most people are just ridiculously unwilling to try new things. For example, I still get funny looks from people when I start drizzling balsamic vinegar over ice cream.
Salsa on eggs also gets some odd reactions (or perhaps it's because of the beer on the side - the ultimate breakfast beverage if properly chosen).

These food combinations are lacklustre at best. To quote from the comments on the page,

Gold! This is an amazing combination. Balsamic Vinigar is a sensational foil for any sweet or fruit presentation. Mix some Balsamic vinigar with raw, brown sugar and drizzle over any dessert and prepare yourself for adulation as some kind of gastronomic deity.
Personal random favourite that requires little effort: Icecream on toast.
