how do you study to be a promoter?honestly you kinda just have to jump into it. i would recommend start small - if you're focused on live music, book some regional / state bands and build from there. There's lots of agencies out there with bands that can be routed for under $1k to your city. The trick is making sure they at least have a halfway decent name. Electronic acts are great to book - flat guarantees - no points deal. But its usually more costly to put on a show and you may be competing with alot of people in that space. If you're doing something outside the norm like comedy, produced events (fetish ball, themed halloween - those can be cool but takes a whole lot more time). Stick to something small, keep your expenses low, and make sure your venue isn't bending you over for every nickel and dime.

Yeah, with rare exceptions, males make very little money doing straight porn, because the women are the stars. So, to make extra money, a lot of male porn stars will do "gay for pay." No thanks, man...no thanks.
