abcnews.go.com — Barack Obama's month-old presidency is off to a strong start, marked by the largest lead over the opposition party in trust to handle the economy for a president in polls dating back nearly 20 years. But the post-partisanship he's championed looks as elusive as ever. 65% approval. Trusted over house GOP on economy 61% to 26%. Keep talking rethugs.

WheresDaBudda, things will come back. But they'll come back when they're ready, not when politicians deem it is time. If it were this easy wouldn't the stock market go up every time they pulled this nonsense? And if it did go up every time they pulled this nonsense, wouldn't they simply announce new spending each and every day?If it's left alone it'll happen faster. It'll hurt, but it will contain the problem and allow businesses to adjust in the short term and profit when we pull out of it. If the answer is unending intervention then the sickness will become the disease, and this will go on for much, much longer. It's no different than what happens when a company is cryptic about the truth. If you just get it out there the market can digest it faster. The more you play games the more people lose faith, the worse the problems become, and the more the stock suffers. You watch. I actually think that the market is going to rally for several months, and everyone is going to say how this spending package saved the day. But the market will then fail again, and then there will be another "stimulus" package which will make the problem worse. They'll say, "the last one did work, but it didn't sustain itself because the amount wasn't large enough." And then the next spending package will be bigger. It's so freaking predictable. You have to get the addicts off of the drug. And as long as they have access to this drug, credit, they're going to continue to use and abuse.

LOL@Firstidiot: "My lack of understand in this case is solely based upon your bad grammar."There?s nothing more ironic than when illiterate morons criticize others' use of bad grammar in the same sentence in which they display the fruits of their own outcome-based education.

I work for money under the table, so none of MY money went anywhere. ;)

Yeah, as you're lambasting someone else on bad grammar, hence the irony.

I remember Waco and Oklahoma City. I remember "Giant sucking sound" and over a year wasted on Lewinski, I remember G Gordon Liddy telling his listeners to kill A.T.F. agents. I remember the build up of backwoods militias and the rise and failure of the contract with America. Is that enough? Or are you just looking for an easy way to disregard people who don't agree with you? See, I can disregard you quite easily, you have no real argument except for rudeness.

IRPro, you are very rude.
