msnbc.msn.com — “The Long And Winding Road” by the Beatles (from “Let It Be”)The Beatles are generally regarded as rock ’n’ roll’s greatest band, and Phil Spector was arguably its greatest producer. So how did bringing them together result in one of the most cloying moments in either party’s career?

Agreed. "I'm In Love With My Car" is the one track I always skip on that albulm. "Sweet Lady" is a good song, but I can understand any claims that it doesn't belong on the albulm. "I'm In Love With My Car?" I know Roger Taylor needed to get in there... but seriously. "39" is awesome.Dugg up for bashing MSNBC.

The Long And Winding Road is a good song. What the hell are they talking about?

Agreed, I was shocked when I saw that song defined as "terrible".

I own some Stones albums, I've seen them live...and I feel comfortable saying that they are just a bit over-rated. They are a perfect example of why it is "better to burn out than it is to fade away." Don't get me wrong - the Stones have some AWESOME songs. Scorsese has used most of them in his films for a reason, BUT they also have a ton of awful songs and their whole "disco" phase was appalling. The Beatles, on the other hand, can be listened to from the first song of Meet the Beatles to the last song on "Let it Be" and you can witness their musical evolution not to mention see exactly where George Martin (The honorable Fifth Beatle) stepped into the picture. My only wish was that they actually released "Let It Be" before "Abbey Road" and dropped Her Majesty. The Beatles shouldn't even be on this list...but if they had to be, I can think of a song or two that wasn't as nice as The Long and Winding Road...wtf? ...but that's just what I think! =)

The documentary film “Let It Be” gives an unparalleled insight into the Beatles getting back to basics at Twickenham and at their own recording studios in Savile Row. It spans two weeks of recording of what was to be their final album, Let It Be...http://sharrmuta.blogspot.com/

It's the only weak song on an otherwise perfect album. Love Ain't For Keeping shouldn't be on that poll either.http://www.eschat.net/
