Nope, you've got it wrong. The emergency fund comes first. What happens if, while trying to pay off your bills, you get hit with some new unexpected expense? You'll just borrow more to pay for it... digging yourself farther into debt.Getting a small emergency fund in place first is the *right* thing to do. Don't just ask Dave, talk to any sensible financial advisor.

Cars are a huge money pit, but there's no other choice. We don't have public transportation and I drive about 2000 miles a month.

Buying clothes at Walmart will not save you money, every piece of clothing I bought there has shrank or fallen apart, it's a false savings to buy there. If you buy decent clothes that will last a few years you'll save far more in the long run. Goodwill is a great place for this.Driving out of your cheaper gas usually isn't worth it, is your time really worth a measly few cents? You also need to figure out your cost per mile to see if it's really worth it.

Change your spending habitsDifferentiate needs from wantsBe content with what you haveLeanr to enjoy, people places and social occassions - they are far more fullfilling and freeKisses, cuddles, conversations and friendship are all free and they make you feel 1Mil times better then any materialistic crap you spend your money on......If you can't pay your full credti card balance every single month - you shouldnt have oneSpend some of your spare time adding new income streamsBeware of banks / financial advisers and insurance sales people they are nearly all just commision based sales people..... Dont avoid them as you need them, but be cautious and informed.Rolling credit card debt into loans over 20 years is just plain stupid
