Seriously..being up here in Rhode Island, I'm always sick of these callers. It just gives fodder for the people like D&C and the Big Show (on WEEI). They feed off of these people. It was funny when I was 15, but at 24..it's almost annoying.
Sadly for Boston area sports fans, this article needed to be written. Leigh Montville said that sports talk radio is like a dog chasing its tail, and he's right. If blogging is the new journalism then STR is the new mad cow disease.
Right on target, Bruce! I had the same hurdles when I first started calling KJR in Seattle seven years ago. As a result, my tactic was starting my own "sports radio caller show" @ WeTheFans.com. Now I'm one of the station's most feared callers.
