lostintechnology.com — I do use Twitter daily, just not the Twitter site. Sometimes, I use desktop-based applications (TweetDeck and Twihrl are both favorites), and I frequently use the Web to manage my Twitter account. There are a growing number of useful applications for Twittering, and all of them do the job better than the standard Twitter interface.

I use Twitterfox (a simple firefox extension) and Digsby. Yes, twitter has a lot of mindless chat. Just like there are a lot of mindless web pages. Doesn't meant twitter sucks, just follow the right people.

Please get it out of your head that Twitter is all about bodily functions, if you took the time to try to understand it you would see it is simply a channel for communication. You might as well hate the internet for the same reason.

The best interface is to simply post using their API. While their user authentication sucks bigtime, they're trying oAuth. Either way, it is embarrassingly simple to post to twitter automatically.

I wish Google+ would get on the API for Tweetdeck!
