msnbc.msn.com— Dave Tiderman wondered if the decimal point was in the wrong place when he opened his $35,000 company bonus. Jose Rojas saw his $10,000 check and thought, "That can't be right."

So this is a company that made 100 million dollars last year.... was bought by a foreign company, and the profit from that sale was only 6.6 million? I think it is great that the owners decided to share the profits with the employees, but.. I just don't get why they sold out for so little. Is our economy so bad that profitable companies have to sellout to foreign companies?
Welcome to the Club. I've been with my small company for 9 years, and no way do I want to quit this job. The pay isn't top notch but I could care less. Being IT manager for a small company is awesome.
I know where you hear that sort of stuff, that corporate apologist mantra. But it's not the whole truth.Foreign plants in the US are not building SUVs, they are building small, fuel efficient and inexpensive (relatively) cars. The fact that they are non-union is only PART of the story. As you even say, the non-union workers are being paid comparably. The difference is that the Big 3 American automakers are poorly managed, inefficient and bloated management bureaucracies. 65% of GM's revenue came from their overseas, non-union plants. 35% of GM's revenue comes from union factories. How is it the union's fault??? Go ahead, explain:
Companies like this demonstrate there are still good companies out there who recognize the effort and quality of their hard working staff and make what the business is today.
