latimesblogs.latimes.com — "Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker has revealed that the fifth "F&F" is already revving up production. "Furious 4" cranked out a heart-stopping $72.5 million last weekend. Which explains why a fifth one is getting the green light. “This was supposed to be it. There wasn’t supposed to be the open-ended closing like there was,” Walker said.

just saw the fourth one, enjoyable...but I mean if they clearly see how bringing back the original cast can be bankable, not to mention a film that has a pretty steady fan base...Hollywood should have used their brains and greenlit the "Point Break" sequel... cause the first F&F is the same exact storyline.

Yeah, this IS the true sequel. And that's why Vin didn't do the 2nd and 3th one.

This movie isn't targeted to people who want to go and see a movie that makes them think. It's for people who just want to go out, see some action, some decent cars and look at shiny objects. Which is just fine. Are all of you who are bashing this franchise gonna go and tell the porn industry that you wont watch thier movies because there just isn't enough plot and wayyy to much t**s? Probably not...

Yo, prejudice yuppy. If you get distracted that easily I would suggest staying away from movies... Consult a doctor. To say that this movie didn't have cars would be like saying your screen name doesn't suggest that you are self conscious about the abnormally small size of your penis. The movie actually revolved around cars. Because of your lack of concentration, my guess is that you entered the wrong theater and actually viewed the Hannah Montana movie. And, you're right, it didn't have ANY cars. My sense of worth is not measured by the fact that I enjoyed this movie. Your sense of worth, however, is completely laid out in that abomination of a comment you just presented us with. No where in that group of randomly capitalized words did you even come close to anything that would constitute a valid point. You should kill yourself.

SPOILER for F&F!!!Well, with Michelle Rodriguez now dead (her character Letty), I think they should probably do one more to wrap up the whole story, but of course have the "original parts" (minus Rodriguez, which sadly seems to die in most of the work she does..) back. To me it would be viewed as a Trilogy, because I don't count the one with Tyrese or Bow Wow (pointless, like Halloween III).They should call it Fast Vs. Furious, since it is the 5th one hence the V in Vs. and also because it will pit Diesel's Dom vs. Walker's Bryan in the final face off between fast (Bryan) and furious (Dom). Great stuff huh?!

I remember just 1 instance when the sequel is better than the first film - TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY
