Does anyone know how to disable the "Google Talk"/"Quick Contacts" client that appears on the left side of your GMAIL screen? I know you can sort of hide it but it's not the same since it still loads the clinet and people can still see if you're online/offline
I think I know why most of Gmail's products are in beta.If they go under, they are not liable for any information stored on their servers since there is a disclaimer not to trust sensitive info to beta software

Why should someone use a list like this when the Gmail help section contains everything they would need to know?

This list is completely useless."To compose a new message click the 'Compose Mail' link"

Alt+F4 will usually do it, depending on the the window you're focused on. Don't mention it. Seriously.

Most of them are known and used by us but a good article documenting them all in one place.
