You are right there is a lot of good new music. Im not saying its not out there. Its just that there is so many new bands and singers coming out left and right these days that a lot of the good stuff gets lost in all the noise. You have tons of one hit wonder or average quality bands and the few exceptional ones get drowned out in the massive volume of material. In the older days of albums you had fewer bands capable of making it because it was a lot harder to get noticed or distribute your stuff. The few bands that did get commercial recognition were mostly the creme of the crop talent wise.I love the fact that the internet and technology has given the artist more power and the capability to be heard by a vast audience without the need for the middle man. On the other hand, I hate the fact that technology has brought about a bad after effect of making too many artists dependent on technology to make music. So a lot of the music has a generic sound. A processed digital sound. Also because the tech makes the distribution of music a lot easier, you have to really wade through a volume of crap to find the really good stuff. The internet has made it a lot easier for more s**t to get out there. Its like youtube for music out there. Thats not Nostalgia thats the truth. I deal with media distribution.
"Phone calls are inconvenient and awkward most of the time."if i get stuck behind one more idiot texting while he's walking i will beat him with whatever is nearby. the worst are the people who have to text as they are getting off a f**king plane. it might not seem inconvenient and awkward to the texter...
