maclife.com— Like a champion cyclist knows bike parts,a car buff knows model years, and a sports fan knows win-loss records, all Mac geeks worth the title must know these things.

Why are there more Windows users?Microsoft licensed its OS to any computer makers that would take it. People didn't buy Windows, they bought a computer that came with Windows on it.It's like in the late 90s when everyone started getting cell phones, most people I saw had Nokias, I ended up with one. Not because I chose it's OS/Menu system over others phone makers. It was because I wanted a phone and 9/10 phone in that store were Nokia. "Does it make and receive calls?...Yes?... I'll take it." My next 3 phones were Nokia before I looked into other brands. It can take a few days to get used to another phone makers menu system, But learning a new OS? People fear change and don't want to go through that. So they stay with Windows and its' viruses, malware/spyware, and blue screens of death. You might say: "they are dumb, they don't know how to use a PC, they're newbs"Well, those are the same newbs that in the early 90s, walked into a computer store and said "what's this internet I keep hearing about? This ones cheap, can it do internet?....Yes?...I'll take it." That's why you get 47 / 50 Windows.
nice but it's not the real true there so much more under the hood that they might not know. Not really a good reason why mac os x it's better.. but it is it's just they did not . i think :D "1. It’s designed to make it faster and easier to get computing tasks done. This is mostly thanks to its “plain English” approach, especially compared to Windows, which has a legacy of being built by engineers for engineers and is, as a result, less intuitive for the everyday nontechnical user.2. OS X makes it easier to find out about your computer. (For example, to find out key info about your Mac, such as which version of OS X you’re running, system specs, and so on, select Apple Menu > About This Mac. If you need to know your Mac’s IP address, go to System Preferences > Network and the info you’re looking for will appear.)3. OS X is more secure than Windows. Yes, we know it’s because until recently, Macs were so much less common than Windows PCs that hackers didn’t bother writing viruses and malware for OS X, and there were fewer pieces of Mac software out there in which to exploit vulnerabilities. But there are more Macs out there than ever, and the number of Windows threats grows daily. To date, there are still no known widespread viruses or Trojan horse attacks aimed specifically at OS X.4. The Mac OS is just prettier than Windows. Does that sound petty? To some, we’re sure it does, but to anyone who would mock, we say, “Stuff it.” How’s that for petty? "
I love how #2 talks about how much more intuitive OS X is and how everything makes sense... and the remaining 48 EXPLAIN how to do these intuitive things... i especially like that typing jargon into terminal is right after it at #3.
I have a Mac at work, i've worked quite a lot on it and still can't get used to it. Probably too much time spent with Windows. The article is informative, however. Maybe i'll revise my opinion, some day...

The keyboard symbols are ridiculous. Sure, it saves space but it increases learning curve.
