Yeah, definitely a great post. I noticed that most of the companies went from uppercase text to lowercase.. maybe that makes them seem more accessible?

a pretty interesting article, but i'd have to disagree on #27. it seems their current website is just one in a gazillion. it's become such a trend these days to have crazy, colorful vector art in the top/background, black-to-transparent gradients as the menu and the ever present tabs on the top right. i'm not saying they shouldn't have designed from their previous look, but to me this feels like it's going to look just as old pretty soon.

Partially correct. When a typeface is made completely lowercase it showcases the company as more vulnerable and, like you said, accessible. It's a very across-the-board move going on right now with most major companies.
