I am, or rather writing to UK stores on the same topic. thanks to a major email / letter campaign many UK stores recently announced schedules to phase out old bulbs, and its even been mentioned by the environment minister recently (not that he has done f**k all). consumer power is everything. write to stores and lobby them hard.
