Very interesting statement. My Dad has always had a potbelly. He hates it and obsesses over it but it seems like he's afraid to lose it. Then he'll always talk about how he's still hungry. I think he's afraid to change his lifestyle.

I think that's only if a person cannot eat due to circumstances out of his/her control. If you decide to wait till your stomach growls on purpose then it's different. Then you're in control and you can make a controlled decision. Then next time your stuck not eating for many hours you'll know what's going on because you tested it in a controlled environment.

No one is saying do powerlifitng 5 days a week. Moderate strength training is very good for anyone. Our muscles are supposed to be hardened and strong. Lifting weights is good for bones actually. You're talking about extremes here.
