I think there comes a point where celebrities spend money just because they have it and don't really know what else to do with it. I guess some instinctive need to hoard prevents the majority of them from actually sharing it with those in need, so they find the most useless thing they possibly can and say "I need 15 of those." It's utterly ridiculous.
