sun-sentinel.com— That's the value of a 1918 Inverted Jenny, one of the rarest stamps in the world, which Broward County elections officials said was affixed to an envelope containing an absentee ballot.

That's funny because last night I just saw a play called Mauritius and it was about stamp collecting, was a comedy, anyways they mentioned the inverted jenny....
Not sure if it has already been mentioned, but this reminds me of "Brewster's Millions" when Brewster (Richard Pryor) applied the Inverted Jenny and mails it.
There's probably more to this story... The sender is probably thumbing their nose at the government's messed up voting system with something like "how much is a vote really worth?" If I had those stamps, and more money than I knew what to do with, I'd more than likely do the same... No identity, no tracing it back. Brilliant. Make people think...
maybe they wanted to be sure THEIR vote got counted and not "lost". That would be the real question to ask.. their vote was still counted properly, right?

What's really funny is that Florida can't seem to count votes, yet they can pick up on the rarety of the postage stamp it comes on. Figure that.
