Average Large Incandesant Christmas light maybe 2-4 Watts? At 2 watts x 200,000 lights = 400KW. Average portable gas generator puts out something like 5KW. So it would take more like a large tow able turbo diesel generator. He must have a special connection to the utillity to support that kind of usage safely. Dang that is a lot of power. Even if you figure his bulbs are all small and average 1/4W it is still 50KW. 50,000W / 110V = 454 AMP Entry. Average house is either 100 or 200 Amp entry box. Jeepers. He needs to switch to all LED light strings.
