SUVs are, indeed, as much of a problem as food producers who infuse stuff with high fructose corn syrup instead of regular sugar. Yes, we need to come up with better ways of getting us from point A to point B, if for no other reason that civilization should move forward over time. However, the SUV producers found a convenient loophole to put a giant car body on a truck frame and not call it a truck. They then made assloads of cash selling something unneeded and wasteful to a public that's trained to think bigger is better.Meanwhile, that gas-guzzling SUV isn't going to stop eating gas until it goes through the new car market, the used car market, the scrapyard for parts to keep the rest of them running, and finally the crusher.
Well I think it's about time we nationalize the oil companys like all the other western nations have. We already give them to much in corporate welfare!
OMG, does this guy live on a deserted island? does he not really know what is going on in his own country? of course not, he's too busy dancing in Africa! My California friends are saying it is already to $4.00 a gallon. Yeah, there's NO recession, whatsoever. no one can get a job, businesses are closing, groceries have gone up, gas prices continue to raise, but hell no, there's no recession!
