One plan doesn't mean nothing. I wouldn't recommend the hatchling anyway because there are limited domain names etc. I use the Baby plan because it is the cheapest in the batch that offers all the things I need. And yes. They are overselling, but how big is the chance that all of the sites on that server will use up all of their space and bandwidth. It's next to nothing. Most websites stay under 50MB of space.

Actually... When a web hosting company says they've been in business for 20 years, they may be true, in a sense that they aren't mentioning what business. Some regular hardware distributors have sold hardware in the eighties, and then, in the mid nineties (or later) have expanded their business to web hosting. So if they say they've been in business for 20 years, if they mean web hosting business, they are lying; if they mean regular business activity (not web hosting, just regular computing for instance), they're true.

Domain registry isn't a great way to determine when that owner registered that domain. Sometimes, if you move your domain to another registrar the registration date indicates when the domain was registered with that registrar.
