Holodecks seem awfully impractical though, I'd rather go for a true virtual reality (like the matrix).It's also way more likely than physical holograms.

I don't see physical holograms being a reality in the near future. Also, I have problems understanding the fascination people have for the holodeck.You want my opinion? f**k the holodeck and give me the matrix.

We're having enough trouble getting voice recognition to actually work. You still have to talk to it like a robot!!Let's shore up the stuff we have that barely works before diving into anything like this!!
