Before all the bush apologists start to get wood here, let me remind all of you that women and minorities actually had better protection under the Baathist regime than they do under the Shiite regime today. Religious fundamentalist has been rampant since the US led invasion, leading to a sharp rebuke of women and minority rights in it's aftermath.Do a little basic research before you start trying to pad the bush legacy.
To the people still desperately trying to find fault with Bush even after so much progress in Iraq.It was war, there were bound to be casualties. But Iraq is now a democratic free state, women can now hold positions of power and people have the power to choose their leaders. In the long run, the war has definitely saved a lot more lives.Sure im going to get called a Bushtard, but you have to admit, the war was definitely a success and a boon for the Iraqi people
This is close to the dumbest thing I've ever read on Digg.First, the number of deaths were low because medical technology has improved since Vietnam. This war has over 15 soldiers wounded for every fatality, compared with 2.6 for Vietnam. That works out to around 20,000 who would have died had it not been for improved treatment. Instead, they just got sent home with horrific, permanent injuries.Second, what the f**k does our military need counter-insurgency experience for? Are we planning on invading anyone else? I know this is probably a sweaty fantasy for you sofa warriors, but now that the sane people are running the country, there's little chance of more illegal wars.Third, who the f**k cares that "we've come out from under the shadow of vietnam"? What does that even mean? That your personal manhood was so bothered by the fact that your country lost a war that you needed to kill another million brown people before you could get it up again? No matter how many times I hear it, I'm always amazed by the sheer jaw-dropping nihilism of you keyboard Rambos. If you think this war is so great, why aren't you over there fighting it?

Serbia was peacefully and willingly integrated until Tito croaked and took his giant iron fist with him.Appearances aren't everything.
