thisislondon.co.uk — There were knowing looks and giggles among the casually dressed crowd that gathered from 6.30pm, wearing earphones. A deafening 10-second countdown startled station staff and commuters before the concourse erupted in whoops and cheers. MP3 players and iPods emerged and the crowd danced wildly to their soundtracks in silence - for two hours.

I went, it got the night off to a good start and put everyone in a very silly mood. I'm not certain this requires a massive debate on Digg, it's just a bit of frivolity and most of the commuters were just laughing, smiling and pointing. The people dancing enjoyed themselves and it gave quite a few people a smile. We left after 40 minutes but it was still going strong over an hour and a half later, I think some people forgot to disband!

@smackheroI understand the point they are trying to make and it is a very good one, however, getting some minimum wage guy who is just trying to get by fired, is not the best way to go about it. I must admit though, if there wasn't somewhere I absolutely had to be I would find it fun and would probably join in.

f**king assh**es. People who organize s**t like that should be taken out back and shot! Good to see some were at least beaten up though, that'll teach 'em.

Well, given the attacks in London not too long ago, a guy with a bomb could make this party a bloodbath. But I applaud the initiative :-)
