But Why?

1) FM RadioThis comes with the remote on newer iPods. No reason to put it inside the actual box.(What is this "radio" that people are talking about?) 2) Blue ToothWill probably come, but will probably be crippled for the uses and reasons you suggest. 3) RecorderIn principle, you can buy this as an add-on, if you need it.4) Data Inputwithout which calendar, notes and contacts make little to no sense...5) Internet Connectivitywould demand bluetooth or wifi and data input .. in other words: too complicated. will not happen.

@zipi KNOW you did not just compare my zen to a nano when compared to damage from dropping/vibration. because if you did, let me say this. i use my zen at the gym twice a day, which includes runnning on a treadmil and weights. running on the treadmil - have had zero problems due to "vibrations", weight training - i accidentally hit my zen with a dumbbell while getting them in position to do dumbbell bench press, it sustained ZERO damage and the song didnt even skip a beat. had i done that with a nano, it probably would have disintegrated.the other "problems" you mentioned: screen - the screen on my zen is beautiful, not that i spend much time looking at it...because its an mp3 player! is for listening to, not watching! weight - i like the weight of the zen. it doesnt feel like the mp3 player will snap between my thumb and index finger. sound quality - ummm, havent noticed anything wrong with the sound quality. sounds just as good as listening to a cd/sat radio in my car.not that i am a complete anti-apple guy. i did like the ipod mini. would have bought a mini had apple not decided to not upgrade it/discontinue it.

I still have my Music only Ipod.. Before the click wheel. It still works fine. It's probably a convenience thing for me. My 40GB ipod has paid for itself and the customer service has been great. And just to qualify i have 3 PCs and only one ibook so I'm not an apple guy. Later.

thats crap. other players are better? how? give your reasons iriver fan boy!

No point in arguing which hardware/software player is better, it's subjective regraless if one player has more or less merits.I'm an iRiver Ogg Vorbis user and wouldn't have it any other way.
