suntimes.com — Failure of other drivers to use a turn signal is one of the most annoying things on the road, and it may be on the rise, according to the State Police. A study found:42 percent said they didn't have time,23 percent said they were lazy,7 percent skipped the signal to "add excitement" to their trip.

If you can't operate the Turn signal how can we expect you to operate the rest of the car?

This is one of my pet peeves, too.Spuy767, you nailed it. It's virtually effortless to tap a stick on the left side of the steering column. It doesn't even take a second. People that don't signal are saying to everyone else around them, "I literally won't lift a finger for you."I thought about making a bumper sticker for the front bumper, "If you didn't signal it's not my fault." Meaning, if you cut in front of me without signaling, it's your own damn fault if you get rear-ended.

Until someone gets to the light, hauls you out of your vehicle and kicks your ass for being a f**king moron.

See the problem with that is... if you're keeping your distance... some jackass will come in front of you because there is space... so you basically have to ride up someone's ass to close the gap so no one else gets in front of you... thereby defeating the purpose

"Police need to stop pulling over efficient drivers going 5-20mph above the speed limit"WTF? If you're going 20 over then you need to be pulled over and cited with reckless driving. That is MUCH more of a danger to yourself and others than somebody who doesn't signal. 'round these parts 20mph over = 90mph - if you're doing that then you need to get off the road.Or are you talking about doing 45 in front of an elementary school as the kids are getting out?

Detroit drivers polite? You've never tried to actually drive the speed limit on the Southfield or the Lodge, have you?Detroit drivers are famous for their belief that since 4 wheel drive can get you up to 70 on glare ice it must be able to allow you stop in the same distance and with the same control as on dry, gooved concrete.

I drive a retired police car, it does have signals :) Most real units signal in my presence. Most fellow civilians do so as well. I do the same. If you want to see an officer or civilian alike use a turn signal, start driving a Police Package Crown Vic.

Here in Louisiana, on a 4-lane, the left lane is only for passing or preparing to turn left. The right lane is for driving, but can be used to pass. There's a continuous left turn lane on sections w/o a grass median, and most intersections (on sections with a grass median) have a special left turn lane that starts about 100 yards from the intersection. I have seen countless people just cruise in the "passing lane" at either the speed limit or 5 under. I have seen countless people in the "driving lane" just shoot across to the turning lane about 20 feet from their turn. I even saw one person cruise the turning lane for a quarter-mile before turning. Non-signaling drivers are extremely common, even the majority of law enforcement don't signal. But they straighten up some when I am driving my retired Border Patrol cruiser.
