I'd have to paint them as more opportunistic than racist. They take advantage of particular situations to gain media attention and further their cause. They show hatred and intolerance to these situations but not to all white people.
Oh please. It is instinct because even if it is taught, your inclination is to believe in the worst of what you hear about others despite the logical voice that says those claims could just be stereotype. It's the path of least resistance and going on the side of caution. If I were to ask sketch artists to draw up the first picture of a gang banger, terrorist, or black belt in karate that comes to mind, I can assure you that the majority will draw black/latino, arab, and asian. Does that make them racist? Yea a bit, but not a bad person.
"Is it wrong for somebody not to like someone else who they can't relate to in the free nation of the United States? Are we not entitled to our own opinion?"Those 2 questions are completely different issues. So answered separately, what a stupid question, and yes.
It is impossible to grow up in our culture without being impressed upon by racism.Even the politically correct side of the mainstream media is racist. What matters is how we act. Are going to act on those impressions, or arewe able to see beyond the superficial, and choose a logical course of action. Not to mention that invisible institutionalized racism is a much biggerproblem than individual acts of racial prejudice.Humans are stupid. This applies to everyone. Just try your best to not let your stupidity control your actions.(Like posting comments to digg about racism.)
A big portion of the black males in prison are there for drug related crimes (mostly, selling drugs). Perhaps the authorities catch the drug dealers selling cheap dope on the streets of the ghettos (who are usually black) more often than the ones selling classy stuff like cocaine from their upscale apartments in the well-off neighborhoods (who are usually white).Anyhow, drug criminals account for a significant portion of the U.S.A.'s huge prison population.

Wow. Racist against racist people? Or are you just saying that you are superior because you're smarter than most people?
