popularmechanics.com — "One might think that the United States' nuclear weapons--the cornerstone deterrent in the country's arsenal--would be treated with the utmost precision. This comfortable illusion was shaken on Aug. 31, 2007, when crews loaded six live nuclear warheads onto a [USAF] B-52 bomber...cruising over the nation's heartland." Now for "the ugly truth."

So, in less than 20 minutes it's moved from several of them to all of them? Boy, the government works quickly in your twisted little world!

I learned that my government scares me more every day. The story offered by the Pentagon that this was all a big "Mistake" didn't make me feel any better if it was even true. If it wasn't true, then I *really* don't feel any better because it means that our government and our military are so at odds with one another that they don't know what the other is doing. Then again, nobody knows what the hell Bush/Cheney are ever doing so why should the military be any different, I suppose. Bring back some transparency in government, and I believe most of these kinds of "mistakes" will go away (and some of them will go to jail).

Whoever Jack Carter is knows some details, but is completely wrong in other things. For example, the missiles were ACMs (Advanced Cruise Missiles), not ALCMs. ACMs are being decommissioned which is why the whole shipment was happening in the first place.
