i don't understand why my comment is being dug down, where in the article, or anywhere for that matter, did anything mention Flash on the iPhone?oh that's right, it didn't, because iPhone won't ever have flash as Apple has already stated.

While it is true that they have had the software for long. Motorola makes s**tty phones - The Q is a total disaster. It has the worst battery life EVER for a smartphone. The so called extended battery did not do much to improve the device.Nokia makes good looking Phones - Where nokia loses out is that for some reason it seems crappy. Their phones are over priced for no valid reason.RIM - is probably the only decent phone company of the lot. I really do not see any fault in the blackberry. The screen size could use some improvement though. In the end, the iPhone is lovable like a toy that you can never get to hate. It may lack many features, but the available ones are very easy to use when compared to phones from it's competitors

I've heard of some possible incentives to upgrade for current owners. They know most people that bought one are in the same boat.

E series , especially E90 have right to be pricey because it has 3.5 G, huge software support (Enterprise), WiFi, GPS and huge RAM (for that genre). It can be easily used instead of a real laptop.N95/N96 has even better features and there is nothing to "hack" to get decent software which are mostly in 10th generation, after years of development. If Apple said it is an iPod with a new kind of communication features, it was fine. They claim it is SMART PHONE , a device which even lacks $100 J2ME phone features, de facto standard. They were even cheap to purchase Flash Lite license and as Flash Lite 3 will be free download, they try to prevent it by SDK EULA.They force a $400-600 device owners to get used to HACKING their device with 3RD party tools. The consequences will be seen later. They should ask Nokia about their expertise and why they started to give free signature to opensource developers. As everyone got used to ignore security warnings, Cabir virus shipped.

the iPhone is going to change the cell phone market for good. You seem unable to see that.
