I host pictures for miscellaneous things on flickr rather than going to photobucket or imageshack. It's more reliable that way. Heh, I'm probably using flickr in a way that is not intended to be used.
Congratulations ! I have had 2 pics "discovered" as well. One was used in the German magazine- Max in an article about Flickr, the other on a website about dogs, they used my pic as the pic for the breed description of Boxers. Flickr is a great way for us amateurs to be seen by a lot of people.
Too bad 95% of the photos on that site are pure crap. Yeah, let's take pictures of mundane, everyday subjects with no emotional or thought-provoking value to begin with, (with a really nice camera nonetheless) and call it art. Give me a break.
This is the type of story that makes professionals cringe. It might be fun and a good ego boost for you it puts people like me, who have invested years of our life and tens of thousands on equiptment out of business. If someone is interested in your photo realize what it is worth and charge them for it. They are making money off of you so don't just give it away.
