Halo only supports 16 players? I've been playing Resistance w/ 40 players for over a year, free - no interruptions. Gloating, yes? A year of you xbox fanboys all over Digg touting their great online service that's now apparently down for a week is enough to make me stay in on new years eve and troll.

Of course there's no tide turning, not yet. Go ahead and sugar coat this disaster as being due to a 'holiday surge' of new users but it's a tsunami of bad PR regardless. there's a lot of pissed off, paying LIVE customers everywhere, even here on Digg, home of the tru 360 luvas. First RROD, now this, you got to wonder how long people are going to walk into a store and say 'you know my buddy sez the 360 is better than making sweet love to an inflatable doll I really need to buy me one'.
