emarketer.com— Can 51 million people be a fad? The executives at News Corp. and MySpace certainly hope not. The article has some interesting statistics of social websites. Unfortunately digg is not on the list.

I have an ccount just to communicate with friends I already know in thye real world but don't get to see often.I just block the cam whores and the umpteen billion bands that hound me. No, it's not for anti-social types, and there are some ugly-ass profiles out there.
It didn't say 30% of the US population uses it. It said that a number equal to 30% of the US population uses it.So, say the US only has 10 people in it. And none of them have used MySpace. As long as 3 people in the world have used MySpace, that is a number equal to 30% of the US population.

Sounds like BS.Also, I have a myspace account, but haven't gone there in over a year, so there may be many moribund accounts there.

I dunno.... I think we can all agree that 30% of the US are complete and total f**king morons. It doesn't seem like a big stretch. ;)
