noupe.com — GIMP is a freely distributed GNU Image Manipulation Program. IAvailable for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It’s always fun to experiment different techniques and learn how to work with various aspects of GIMP to spice up boring pictures and make them into works of arts and masterpieces.

Few of them are really useful as I am using GIMP sometimes just to change the flavor :)

Thanks. I used getpaint.net and GIMP - they are both fantastic alternatives to Photoshop.

Does it bug anyone else when people write "The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program)" like it's something so special and super impressive sounding? I think it's ridiculous, and I'm pretty sure they came out a while ago and told everyone to stop calling it The GIMP because it looked dumb to do the all caps thing, and instead just call it Gimp.

Plus, photoshop CS4 doesn't run on Ubuntu, **** that. OSX doesn't work on my Ubuntu Dell at /all/.

I could write 30+ Exceptional MS Paint Tutorials and at no point would that validate MS Paint's legitimacy as an art program. GIMP is one of the single worse things Linux has going for it.

Now only one question remains... How many people actually use GIMP?
