C-60 is too short. It's going to take at least a C-90 nowadays to make a copy of this bill.

You are correct - as of now there is no reason to believe that the government will reintroduce the old copyright bill (C-60), so there is no bill on the table to speak of.The problem is that, while C-60 was not the ideal copyright bill, it was better than the DMCA and the new governemnt is thought to be more receptive to pressure from the copyright lobby and American lobbyists, and this could result in more drastic legislation. Fortunately this time around there is more attention being paid to the issue (eg. with the formation of the CMCC), and this might force the Conservatives to make concessions of the type Geist has outlined over the past 30 days.
