Yup its pretty much the same as Gen 1 but you need the dock, it uses the headphone port to transfer the data.. What an age we live in!!

I like the price point. I jog on my school's track, but when I'm changing in the locker room, there are opportunities for people to steal it. $79 will be less motivation, and I won't regret losing it. A $300 iPod, I would lose sleep over.
