So go and impale them to death. That makes you as bad as they are. What they did was horrible, but it doesn't justify that sort of revenge.

Am I the only one that can tell Darkwalt's comment was sarcasm?

I made an account on the website for one reason only, which is the comment on this page. I hope everyone who commented on this page reads my message. For one I am Cape Verdien and from the Island where this unfortunate event occurred. Not only do I feel personally affected by this incident, but I am also a family ember of the young man who committed this crime. I just want to clarify some things because I read most of the comment on this page and noticed many an accurate information. For one I agree with who ever said this crime, which was committed has nothing to do with the country of Cape Verde or what ever religion is practice there. This crime was dome on an individual basis so therefore the country of Cape Verde as a whole has no blame or anything to do with what had occurred. Also crimes like this and much worse are committed every where in the world so to target Cape Verde as a dangerous place because of the action of two men is very unfair. I visit Cape Verde all the time and there are many good things that happen in this country and also a few bad things, which is the same anywhere you go. I also feel responsible to speak on the behalf of my family due to the fact that one of the young man who committed this horrible crime was my second cousin. I just want to say that we are just as surprised of his action as the rest of the world. We are not bad people or have history of violence in my family. We do not condone his actions regardless that he is family. We made much effort to apologize to the family of the two young women and the other survivor of this horrible situation. Our family has expressed deep sympathy to the Italian community and hope that this situation will not be used to stereotype Cape Verdean people as criminals. To end this comment I would just like to say that Cape Verde is a beautiful tropical place to visit and people shouldn’t judge with out knowing the whole truth. Ignorance is stupidity.
