hongkiat.com — Starter kits are great time savers for web designers; if you are a designer-cum-programmer think of it as your code snippets. These icons and graphics in a single file are particularly useful for designers who often create mock-ups for project pitching.

With a little practice, anyone can do almost anything.

"designer-cum-programmer" ? wtf? now THAT would be a funny XKCD.Some useful templates in here for some repetitive stuff. Worthy of being xmarked.

I still want to know how people make stuff like this. I've spent years combing the internet for tutorials but they just show you how to make something with Photoshop/Illustrator, not teach you how to use it.It's like continually giving me fish when I want to learn to fish on my own!

cool list... i like looking at this stuff... you get a real feel for what others use... personally, i keep my key elements pretty much the same way these guys do... I would suggest looking threw this stuff (for beginners) and taking notes, designing your own elements that you think you would use a lot (i.e. rss feed icon, shopping cart icon, logos, etc... ) and keep them all in a .psd. I would also like to throw in a suggestion to make a brush of your logos or signatures
