engadget.com — SC-1 is overkill (albeit the ultra sweet, drool-worthy kind) at its finest, it's likely to show you HD content in a way you've never envisioned -- but you'll need a quarter million bucks (and a small group of folks to unload it) to take this one home.

25,000 lumen projectors have been around for close to 2 years now so what is so news worthy about one that is outrageously over priced? Barco and Christie have been making these for a while and they are full 1080p with swappable inputs so if you want to run your NES on a 50' x 90' screen, you can. Nice that they let you buy a bare xenon lamp for $1k+ and risk it exploding like a shrapnel grenade in your hands. Go Runco.

Yes, but you can watch a TV for more than 5 minutes a day.

Sony has a 4K projector for $98,000. Runco is overpriced.<a class="user" href="http://www.projectorcentral.com/Sony-SRX-R110.htm">http://www.projectorcentral.com/Sony-SRX-R110.htm</a>
