Problem is they don't always have the money to do so. English clubs spent millions reffiting their stadiums after Thatcher banning terraces at football grounds after Hillsborough/Taylor Report (One more thing she ruined :P), third world countries have bigger things to worry about than shoddy stadiums unfortunately.

Saying NASCAR rules is perhaps the most idiotic comment posted thus far. NASCAR peaked in the early part of the decade and is on a steady decline because no one's going to shell out as much as the used to to get a bumper sticker. Also You make a statement which is highly hypocritical before saying "You sir, are an idiot and a pompous ass." Those soccer/futbol/football fans are a disgrace and should be ignored. He must remember that there are multiple version of football, this sport is association football, there is also our American Football, Aussie Rules Football, and Gaelic football. None of which resemble the first football that was played as a sport on FOOT rather than horse.
