Please . . . WHERE did anyone say ANYTHING about "(g)iving guns to all the students" ?? The entire topic regards (a) those *legally able* to have a CCW, which precludes most undergraduates, who (b) *choose* to obtain a CCW (typically about 2% of those eligible) being allowed to do so on campus. Either you've paid no attention to the discussion or you are intentionally trying to sensationalize things - a common ploy of the hoplophobe.

1)People need adequate training. I'm a 21 year old girl that's been shooting competitively since i was five. I've been gun totting since i was strong enough to hold one, and I've never shot anyone. 2)We have the right to bear arms so we can overthrow the government if they ever try to take too much power over us...or if some assh**e tries to shoot me, I can shoot back.

I could see the good and bad in this.Good being if another shooting where to happen it could be taken down rather fast. How far do you think the VT killer would have gotten with armed students/faculty, or how about just a thug ass kid pissed because he got burnt? Civilians helped in killing Charles Whitman, remember that! The bad would be students that didn't watch their fire in such a situation. This can be rectified by holding quality conceal carry classes that teach students what types of ammo to use, proper shooting stances, gun safety, AIMING CENTER MASS!
